What is Home & School?
A group of parents, teachers, and school administrators dedicated to enhancing the educational and enrichment activities, as well as the general wellbeing of our children and the school. Any parent can join in the discussion to support the school with additional resources, whether that is materials goods, school spirit, or support for parent-teacher relationships.
We are a non-profit volunteer organization that aims to build a strong relationships and ensure open communication between parents and the school administration. Together with the Governing Board, we give parents a voice in the school and promote a sense of community amongst students, parents and teachers,
Why become a member?
While fundraising is a large part of what we do, we also add to our children's enjoyment of their school experience through lunchtime activities, Santa Store, helping the graduating class, etc. Although many requests come from the staff directly; often our spending decisions are made based on what we, as concerned parents, feel is most needed.
That is where YOU as a new parent can have the greatest impact - you may have noticed a need that we have passed over.
Membership empowers you to comment and act upon areas of education and child welfare that concern YOU and offers parents an opportunity to learn more about the school community.
Your membership automatically gives you support in the Quebec Federation of Home & School Association (QFHSA) - the ONLY Anglophone parent committee in Quebec (since 1944).
If you cannot attend our monthly meetings you will receive a copy of the minutes and will stay informed.
